Journey Through the Universe
Visual Astronomy & Live Deep Sky Experience
Date: 11 July 2026
Time: 8:30 PM – 11:30 PM
Venue: Emirates Astronomical Observatory – Razeen, Abu Dhabi
About the Event
Join us for an unforgettable journey beneath one of the UAE’s darkest skies at the Emirates Astronomical Observatory (Minor Planet Center Observatory Code: M69). Journey Through The Universe is an unforgettable astronomy experience
Designed for families, beginners, and astronomy enthusiasts alike, this unique experience combines traditional visual astronomy with modern live-space imaging, allowing guests to explore the universe in two completely different ways during one extraordinary evening.
The first half of the event is dedicated to Visual Astronomy, where guests will observe celestial objects through multiple professional telescopes while learning about the night sky from our experienced astronomy team.
As darkness deepens, the evening transitions into a Live Deep Sky Experience, where advanced astronomy cameras reveal nebulae, galaxies, and star clusters in real time on a giant outdoor projection screen. Watch deep-space objects gradually appear before your eyes as cameras collect light invisible to the human eye, accompanied by live explanations of what you’re seeing and why these objects are among the most fascinating in the universe.
Whether it’s your first time looking through a telescope or you’re an experienced observer, this event offers an inspiring and memorable journey through the cosmos.
Hosted By

Event Schedule
8:30 PM – Welcome
Arrival, registration, and introduction to the evening.
8:45 PM – Guided Visual Astronomy
Experience the universe the traditional way by observing through multiple professional telescopes.
Possible observing targets include:
- The Moon (if visible)
- Planets
- Double Stars
- Star Clusters
- Bright Nebulae
Our astronomy team will explain each object, its significance, and how astronomers have observed the night sky for centuries.
9:45 PM – Refreshment Break
Enjoy complimentary cold drinks while our team prepares the live deep-sky presentation.
10:00 PM – Live Deep Sky Experience (EAA)
Witness the universe beyond human vision.
Using advanced astronomy cameras connected to our telescopes, breathtaking galaxies, nebulae, and star clusters will be projected live onto a giant outdoor inflatable screen.
Watch as each object gradually reveals extraordinary colours and intricate details while our team explains the science behind these distant cosmic wonders.
Unlike traditional astrophotography, these images are captured and displayed live during the event, allowing everyone to experience deep-space astronomy together.
11:15 PM – Questions & Night Sky Discussion
An opportunity to ask questions, revisit favourite celestial objects, and conclude the evening with an open discussion beneath the stars.
